Assistant/Associate Professor of Surgery –Plastic Hand Surgeon Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department of Surgery University of California, San Francisco
The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking outstanding candidates for a full time, academic Plastic and Reconstructive Hand surgeon. Candidates must be board eligible/certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and have completed or will complete by the time of hire a fellowship in hand surgery. Applicant's materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission.
Primary clinical responsibilities will be at UCSF Health locations including Parnassus, Mission Bay and Mt. Zion campuses. Clinical activity will include elective and traumatic hand and wrist surgery in addition to general reconstructive plastic surgery. The candidate will support call responsibility at Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center in addition the UCSF Health locations.
This position will also allow for development of a career in either health sciences research, translational research or basic research, with a potential for protected time to pursue research efforts. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue independent research funding.
Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students and will be expected to be active participants in the Department's residency training and educational programs.
