Description
In this position, you will perform duties as a Central Service Technician (CST), which includes ordering, inventory, and distribution of medical supplies throughout the Ronald Reagan Medical Center and/or ambulatory clinics to ensure the clinical staff have all the supplies they need for patient care. This position will be trained throughout WW Surgical Services, Interventional, and Radiology areas.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Distribution and transport of supplies and equipment as assigned within all facilities at UCLA Health System including community clinics
Assessing inventory turns to adjust par levels to accommodate changing demand
Placing orders to replenish inventory supply levels
Receiving and transporting supplies weighing up to 50 pounds to their destination locations.
Reconciling packing slips against delivered content
Restocking inventory supply areas
Completing all duties of par management including following up on vendor direct orders, managing the module supply cart in the assigned area, and maintaining barcode labels.
This is a part-time "as needed" per diem position; schedule and working hours will vary.
Salary Range: $25.06-25.06 Hourly
Qualifications
Required:
Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to operate supply dollies, heavy duty transport carts, electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and forklift.
Willingness to comply with healthcare regulations for infection control, including masking.
Self-starter with effective time management and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work as a team in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to changes in workload, assignments, and schedules across different shifts and weekends.
Organized to stay current in required HR online competency classes on policy and safety between tasks.
Consistently maintain a safe, clean working environment and report unsafe acts or conditions.
A high proficiency in English to articulate issues, concerns, and responses verbally and electronically.
Actively participates in Quality Management and PIE programs.; adheres to Materials Management and UCLA policies/procedures.
Ability to attend all workshops, classes, drills, etc. as requested.
