The Bed Control Coordinator/Nursing Supervisor, also known as the Off-Tour Nursing Officer of the Day (NOD), is a registered professional nurse responsible for maintaining safe patient care by providing leadership and support to the unit staff for clinical, administrative, and bed flow/throughput. During the off-tours, the NOD has designated first-line supervisory authority, responsibility, and accountability for the 24/7 operations of the medical center. Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7403(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English. Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following ac
