Program Overview: The program, directed by Kelly Issokson, MS, RD, will include a 6-month learning experience at the F. Widjaja IBD Institute at Cedars-Sinai. This program is designed to provide IBD-focused nutrition education specific to the adult and pediatric populations. The apprentice will rotate through the outpatient adult and pediatric IBD multidisciplinary clinics, including the Nutrition & Integrative Subspecialty Clinic and Prehabilitation Clinics. The apprentice will also join the team on bi-weekly inpatient rounds, lead a research/quality improvement project, participate in and lead a nutrition journal club, attend our weekly IBD multidisciplinary conference, and more. The CDR (Commission on Dietetic Registration) recognizes this as an “Activity 210 Residency/Fellowship Program” and the participant will receive 75 CPEUs upon completion of the program.
