Position Summary
The Director of CCBHC Services ensures maintenance of all quality standards & reporting metrics of the CCBHC programs under their oversight, the direction/control of all financial aspects within the discretionary realm of the CCBHC services. The Director will conceive, build, and maintain existing and new programming lines of service for CCBHC services in our region. The Director of CCBHC Services provides supervision, administrative oversight, and program direction to both managers/supervisors and line staff when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in counseling, social work, public health, health care administration, public administration, or similar related field of study required
Or two year’s appropriate and related work experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job
Experience in higher leadership positions or program development positions preferred.
Experience conceiving and building program lines of service in new subject matter arenas preferred.
Demonstrated skills to design and operate a data collection and program review process, including the compilation of information necessary for contract and grant application and reapplication process as required to ensure continued program funding.
Demonstrated skills in culturally sensitive human interactions.
Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills, including conflict resolution, quality assurance, staff development, and performance appraisals.
Knowledge and skill working with culturally diverse populations and staff.
Knowledge of the local Behavioral Health treatment community and referrals, or ability to learn.
Ability to abide by standards of professional ethics.
Aptitude to be flexible and creative with high stress clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Adherence to infection control procedures, including but not limited to, standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking and social distancing.
Assist and support the Center/Department/Program to meet standards of High Reliability.
Must have valid driver’s license and insurable driving record, and ability to travel across WellSpace Health service locations within the greater Sacramento region.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide direction guidance for all program lines of CCBHC services in the organization.
Conceive, design, build and develop new programs as directed, including developing program revenue structure, organizational infrastructure, and quality metrics for any new programs in the department.
Supervise multiple managers and sites at a time, as required.
Represent the organization with sensitivity to disclosure of proprietary information, and representing the organization successfully to ensure ongoing viability of the CCBHC services and organization.
In conjunction with organization administrative support, achieve and maintain various certifications and accreditation needed for operations.
Provide program direction to assure full compliance and revenue recovery for contracted services.
In conjunction with CPO and CFO, understand and develop budgets for all contracts in program and maintain knowledge of fiscal aspects of the CCBHC services and programs.
Adherence to infection control procedures, including but not limited to, standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking and social distancing.
Assist and support the department to meet standards of High Reliability.
Ensure all funding opportunities are evaluated at the organization level for review.
Design and direct operations of a data collection and program review process, including the compilation of information necessary for contract and grant application and reapplication process as required to ensure continued program funding in coordination with Performance Improvement and Data Analytics teams.
Monitor program financial reports and judiciously use organizational funds to support department.
Complete reports as required.
Develop collaboration, liaison, and outreach activities with the community-at-large.
Ensure Utilization Review is performed on all applicable aspects of program.
Represent WellSpace Health to other agencies, funding streams, groups or at related meetings.
Attend agency Leadership meetings.
Complete personnel performance evaluations in a timely manner, as required.
Coaching and disciplinary actions as appropriate for managers and staff when appropriate.
Maintain accurate and detailed records and files of programs, and ensure quality data is reported regularly to supervisor.
Make presentations to community groups and agencies.
Identify, support and participate in the grant writing process for additional program funds as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The work environment is characteristic of a medical clinic environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and arms to reach. The employee is also required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
The employee may be in contact with individuals and families in crisis who may be ill, using substances and/or not attentive to personal health and safety for themselves or their homes. The employee may experience a number of unpleasant sensory demands associated with the client’s use of alcohol and drugs, and the lack of personal care. The employee may also be exposed to bodily fluids (blood, urine) and hazardous chemicals.
