Job Summary:
Works with Department Director to ensure the planning, coordination and provision of nursing care to patients on specified units and shifts. Supervises and delegates care responsibilities to nursing and ancillary personnel, commensurate with their scope of practice. Promotes the use of best practices in the delivery of patient care. Facilitates Lean Daily Management activities. Works collaboratively with leadership to promote professional nursing practice and behavior.
Qualifications:
Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification:
- Minimum one-year previous Acute Care experience.
Desired Training/Education/Experience/Certification:
- BSN
- Previous charge nurse experience in Acute Care setting;
- ACLS
Skills:
- Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
