Clinical Informatics Specialist 4
Salary Range: $6,608.33 to $14,808.33 Monthly
The Quality & Safety Informatics Specialist is responsible for project management and analytical support, Quality & Safety Excellence Dashboards and scorecards, serves as a data analyst for all quality and safety initiatives and performs special projects related to quality and safety data reporting to UCDH Senior Leadership. The position creates and manages quality and safety excellence outcomes reporting dashboards and is responsible for tracking, trending, monitoring, reporting, communicating results and impact of quality and safety program participation in multiple external and internal programs. The incumbent will work within a team of clinical informatics specialists and project managers to meet organizational goals.
The position requires a high level of clinical judgement, creativity, innovation, analytical organization, priority setting and leadership. The position must function effectively with the Chief Quality Officer, Chief Medical Officer, and UCDH Leadership to ensure program effectiveness. The Quality and Safety Department works closely with The Office of Population Health and Operational Analytics team. The successful incumbent requires expert clinical knowledge of healthcare delivery systems with current quality and safety improvement tools and techniques as well as leadership to demonstrate excellence in clinical outcomes at UCDH. Work is performed independently under general direction.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants are encouraged to upload license and certification if required of the position.
- Expert or senior level experience in database application development and administration.
- Demonstrated experience using various programs to create/modify databases, integrating. multiple large datasets, create custom reports, filters, linkage, forms and ability to export data in various formats.
- Experience Tableau developer or use of other BI tools.
- Advanced knowledge of data collection and management, statistics, study design, dashboard design/development, and quality Improvement methodology.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze diverse information, both qualitative and quantitative. and prepare analyses and reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma methodology and/or certification.
- Previous experience within a complex, academic, matrix-driven organization.
- Project management experience.
- Proven experience with programming, statistical analysis, and reporting using analytical software.
- Previous, documented experience Interpreting complex federal regulations and guidelines.
- Epic experience, preferably Clarity/Caboodle data models.
