Licensed Vocational Nurse
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) I/II/III provides a variety of administrative, clinical nursing, health education, and outreach services within the community health center. Basic skills for physical assessment include observation, auscultation, palpation, and percussion. Basic mental status assessment includes observation of general behavior, appearance, and attitude, collection of data relative to sensorium or orientation to time, person, and place, and assessment of recall ability. When the LVN notes a problem, complication, or abnormality, he/she must notify the Physician or Registered Nursing Supervisor under whose direction the licensee functions. The LVN cannot independently evaluate or synthesize data.Reports to: Registered Nursing Supervisor or P
