- Three (3) years of recent experience with Short-Doyle Medi-Cal, Drug Medi-Cal, Medicare, and other payer billing and reimbursement processes.
- Three (3) years of recent experience working with an Electronic Health Record system. Experience with Netsmart and/or Cerner a plus.
- Three (3) or more years' supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working Knowledge of: - The principles and techniques of program management, Short Doyle Medi-Cal and Drug Medi-Cal claims processing;
- Understanding knowledge of Avatar or similar MIS systems;
- Revenue cycle management, organization and staffing, administrative application of data processing, public relations, and personnel administration as applicable to allocated level and program; and
- Principal techniques and methods applicable to assigned program.
Skill in the following: - Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills
Working Ability to: - Analyze administrative and fiscal problems, prepare a variety of reports and recommendations;
- Speak effectively in public, and plan, organize;
- Represent department in discussion of contracts and understanding the role of billing department;
- To read, understand and follow government policy, change and requirement documents; and
- Supervise the work of others.
