This clinician will be embedded into our women's health program and will utilize specific screening tools to assist in the diagnose and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. This licensed provider will offer counseling services and support patients participating in our Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program and patients with medically complicated pregnancies.
This full-time position (Monday-Friday) ensures that women in our community receive the counseling support needed to achieve their goals for a healthy pregnancy and to build a strong foundation for motherhood. Individual and group counseling sessions will be utilized. Tele-health and phone visits will be integrated into the care model, during the pandemic.
Care for Her is a dynamic program, with four OB/GYN's, eight Midwives and two Nurse Practitioners. The booming practice delivers approximately 45-50 babies per month. This program is part of a Federally Qualified Health Center, with medical, dental, behavioral health and specialty services, located in Mendocino and Lake Counties, in Northern California.
The MCHC Behavioral Health Team is comprised of seven clinicians who provide coverage at four sites. Our talented and compassionate team provides integrated care and consultation to primary care providers.
Our providers are eligible to apply for the student loan repayment program via the NHSC.
